These are some examples of murals I did prior to moving to Maui. Please use your imagination, as subject matter can be anything you dream up! Murals can be used to disguise boring or ugly architecture or hide unpleasant surfaces. Create a new environment! How about a tropical garden in that dark basement?

Java Moon was a Cafe in Half Moon Bay. Although the business is gone, the bathroom mural lives on. The current business at that location is called "Lighthouse Cafe" (The cafe has changed hands a few times and has also been known as "Cafe Salet" and "Hometown Cafe".)The walls were painted in a cinderblock bathroom to mimic the main area of the original business. The portraits are friends and family of the artist. The new owners of Lighthouse Cafe commissioned me to paint a lighthouse in the dining section. Photos also available. |
